The Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus offer better sound quality and an extended battery life compared to last year's Samsung Galaxy Buds, but they're still missing advanced audio codec support and full-on noise cancellation. The Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus are the update the company's true wireless earbuds desperately needed: they offer better battery life, improved call audio thanks to a third internal microphone, and a new dual-driver design that uses two powerful drivers for better, clearer sound.
The downside? What Samsung has done here, and should be commended for, is creating a competitive pair of true wireless earbuds in an increasingly competitive landscape. They hold up against rival buds in their own price range and while they don't achieve the same heights as, say, the Sony WFXM3 or AirPods Pro, they're significantly cheaper and offer some nice features for Samsung smartphone owners.
Samsung has launched its latest true wireless earbuds, the Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus, at its Unpacked event in San Francisco, where it announced that they'll be available to buy online from February 14, and in stores from March 6. In comparison to the competition and in their value for the money, the Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus are smack-dab in the middle.
The new Galaxy Buds Plus sport a very similar design to their predecessors, with slick pearlescent housings and adjustable silicone eartips. As of March 10, the Galaxy Buds Plus also come in pink — however, that option is only available in South Korea at the time of writing. Eschewing the long ear stems of the AirPods and the AirPods Pro, these sleek little buds pop neatly into their charging case and into your ear, being held in place by a small nub that catches a fold in your outer ear.
At Because of that design choice we had issues wearing these earbuds while laying in bed as the constant pressure on the buds from the pillow made them uncomfortable in the ear. In terms of customization, inside the box you'll find additional eartips in three different sizes, a larger nub to hold the earbuds in place if they're falling out and a rubber ring if you don't want any nub on the outer edges of the buds. On the outside you'll find the touch capacitive button that understands single, double, triple and long presses.
Single, double and triple do what you'd expect them to do and the long press can either activate your virtual assistant, lower the volume or turn on ambient sound amplification. Using the touch capacitive button as the means to control the earbuds can be slightly uncomfortable at first, as pushing the button pushes the earbuds further into the ear canal, but you'll soon learn to exert less pressure when using it.
It would've been nice if Samsung decided to implement an always-listening virtual assistant here, but unfortunately decided not to. The only other glaring issue we've found so far with the Buds Plus is that they're only IPX2 splash-resistant. That means they're mostly fine for workouts, but won't be the kind of thing you'd want to take with you to the pool or beach, where they could easily get damaged.
For comparison the Apple AirPods Pro are IPX4 water-resistant, and while that's not as good as being fully waterproof, it should assuage any fear you have of damaging them at the gym or outside in the rain.Prix essence tunisie
As for the case itself, it's fairly light and smooth with rounded edges. It should fit fairly easily in your pocket and provides an additional charge for the earbuds in between uses. As you'd expect, the charging case uses USB-C, like Samsung's flagship phones, which means you don't need to carry a separate cable.
The earbuds themselves contain 11 hours of charge, while the charging case provides an additional 11 hours, bringing the total battery life to 22 hours. For comparison, the Apple AirPods contain 5 hours in the buds themselves, with an additional 20 provided by the charging case, for 25 hours in total. It's nice to see the Buds Plus with a larger internal battery, but a shame the charging case didn't get something more substantial.
Throughout our week of testing we've only had to charge the earbuds and their case once, and that's with pretty heavy listening four-plus hours each day at medium volume. If you need to listen to your music at a higher volume to drown out outside noise, then expect to charge these every few nights. The Engadget Score is a unique ranking of products based on extensive independent research and analysis by our expert editorial and research teams.

Apple has the AirPods for the iPhone, and now Samsung has a true wireless headphone made specifically for its Galaxy lineup.
The Galaxy Buds offer a lot of the same features as most other true wireless earbuds: charging case, on-board controls, audio transparency, easy access to virtual assistants and more. To employ key features like volume control, you have to sacrifice other handy tools, and even then, the touch controls are frustrating. Samsung isn't new to the true wireless game.P025a
The company has already made a few models, including two versions of its IconX line that the Galaxy Buds succeed. But the Galaxy Buds are noticeably smaller and, for that matter, smaller than most other true wireless earbuds I've tested. The more compact size means these hardly stick out of your ear at all, and if they do, it will be a lot less than the Jabra Elite 65tSennheiser Momentum True Wireless and others.
The smaller size also means increased comfort, partially due to them not hanging out of your ear. But also because they're lighter than most. Smaller earbuds also means a smaller case.Sonic 06 pc wave ocean download
The one included with the Galaxy Buds takes up less space than much of the competition. That may not sound like a big deal, but the difference is noticeable when carrying it in my jeans pocket. There is a trade-off though: This case only holds one full charge, whereas most of the competition offers two full charges with the charging accessory. There are charging indicators both inside the case and out that tell you the status of the buds and case itself, respectively.
A green light means you're fully charged or battery level is at 60 percent or higher, yellow is between 30 and 60 percent and red means you're charging or below 30 percent. It's not ideal, but at least gives you a ballpark idea until you can check your phone for a precise percentage. When you open up the Galaxy Buds case for the first time with a Galaxy S10 nearby, you'll see a pop-up message on the phone, asking if you want to connect.

However, with iOS, the process is much quicker. Sure, this was the first time I paired, but it still felt slow. Once the Galaxy Buds are paired, any other time I opened the case I was greeted with a "now connected" message instead, complete with battery levels for each earbud. After pairing is complete, the Galaxy Wearable app is where most of the magic happens.
You can expect to install an update to the app itself right off the bat, which should take about minutes. From there, the software walks you through the on-board controls, explaining what various taps will do. After that guide, I had to install a firmware update for the Galaxy Buds themselves -- a process which took another minutes. These updates weren't that frustrating, but it does take up some extra time; it's annoying when you just want to get the music going.
Having to install an update to wireless headphones right out of the box is required from time to time, but it's pretty rare. And I test a lot of headphones. The Galaxy Wearable app is where you'll find battery levels, EQ presets, the option to customize the press-and-hold function and a Find My Earbuds tool.
You can also turn the feature off entirely. During my testing, I found the Dynamic setting to be the best. It's an evenly tuned mix of bass, mids and treble that has noticeably more oomph than using nothing at all.
The others are fine, but this was the only one I used more than a few seconds. There's also a tap-and-hold feature, which you have a limited ability to customize. You have a few options to choose from, and you can set different options for each earbud. Voice command, quick ambient sound transparency mode and volume controls are the choices here. I found putting access to Bixby or Google Assistant on one side and the quick ambient sound tool on the other was the most useful. However, this meant I had no on-board volume control, which is, frankly, terrible.
And it gets worse.I just got my Galaxy Buds today, charged them, paired them to my phone Galaxy S7 Edgeand the right earbud is so faint it mine as well not be playing anything. I have restarted them, unpaired and repaired them, and nothing is working so far. Help would be much appreciated.

You more then likely have wax build up in the mesh part. I could barely hear out of mine, and Samsung was absolutely no help in the matter. I've returned these buds like 3 times for this problem and it's happening again. If this works I'd love a quick tutorial. I had this problem but i solve it you can try to open your case and place you left bud to the right socket about few second and take out and try and see whether it works. Sign In. You open the case near your phone with Bluetooth enabled and viola a pop-up appears on the screen asking you to connect.
But, what if you want to connect them to say, a computer? Or your non-Galaxy phone? There you go! Hope that helps someone out that was looking for this like I was. So this happened to me one time and it ended up being that it just needed to be charged for a while then recommend them. I tried to connect my buds to my windows 7 laptop but it cant seem to find them.
It is because of Windows 7? Please help me out. Thank you. No should work the same regardless. Try plugging in the earbud case and leaving the earbuds in the case until the light turns on on the case and then turn off and back on Bluetooth on the computer and try again. I am also facing the same problem on my windows Leave them in the case with it open and plug them in and leave them like that. When the light turns on on them turn off and on blueBlueton the PC and then follow the steps above.
It should find them then. Oh that would be a good idea. Nope, no shortcuts. Thanks for the reply though! Would like to find an audio-to-BT adaptor to broadcast to these buds. Which adaptor might this work with?

And when you get back to promotions they can give you their own reference number. You may want to give them a date of less than a month that you received the buds because if it is more than a month they may not accept it.
And your earbuds have to be connected to your phone to reset them. Basically I was wearing my Galaxy buds in heavy rain and my right one dropped in a puddle and that bud got very silent after drying it.
Then I tried to reset my buds and stuff nothing worked.Fb stylish name maker tekonly
Then I thought let's dipped it in water again. And now it's working fine somehow. I have the same issue. I usually just wear the left side and did not realize any problem.
I started using the right side a few weeks ago and found it to have a much lower volume.
After spending a few weeks trying to register the product and looking up the internet for solution, I did the chat inside the Samsung Members app. There is no registration needed or possible. They ask for a receipt as proof of purhase for the warranty replacement.

I get this sounds stupid, but it seemed that taking off the silicone piece on my right ear bud and wiping it down real quick, fixed the issue.
It was not dirty but just taking it off and putting it back on helped. I thought to try it when my knock off Galaxy buds I had had similar type of issues because they were garbage. My left ear bud is changing between being quiter then equal to my right earbud. I tried the equalizer thing and it worked for 1 minute.
Reseting and pairing with other devices didn't solve it for me. My Buds were bought abroad as a present, so I don't have the receipt for warranty and that's why I did the following:.

How to Connect the Galaxy Buds to a Computer, iPhone, or Other Non-Galaxy Device
I've been using my Galaxy Buds for about 2 days now and this afternoon when I put then in, I noticed that the right earbud is significantly quiter than the left. When I put the left bud in, it chime as usual, but now when I but the right bud it, it doesn't chime at all.

If you can, try to skip it, if that's not possible, set them up and then continue to step 4. I just solved this issue by going into the bluetooth menu, then to the galaxy buds settings, then turning off and on "call audio" and "media audio".
I just got that issue today, and I've read some stuff about it and it's always people's right bud which is same as mine. I wish Samsung could give info on thos.

Need a trusty pair of earbuds for your next meeting or just bored and want to listen to music while exploring the farthest reaches of your home? The Apple AirPods might be the most popular option, but the Samsung Galaxy Buds are of the best true wireless earbuds that you can buy right now for Android. The Samsung Galaxy Buds are triangular and ergonomically shaped to fit the ears snugly. The Galaxy Buds promise a solid six hours per charge. Unfortunately, while the playback time is impressive, the amount of juice the wireless charging case can hold is not.
The Galaxy Buds offer just seven hours of additional battery life, but not to worry. These true wireless earbuds can charge wireless on the backs of recent Galaxy phones, including the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus and S10e. Controls can be accessed via tapping and touching the buds to switch songs or adjust the volume.
The controls can be customized using the Samsung Wear app which also offers great customization for your listening preferences. Using the app, you can choose different audio presets depending on your liking.
Not much, to honest. They look exactly the same, although there are some notable improvements underneath the hood, including the H1 chipset, longer talk time, and support for voice-activated Siri.
Amazon and Walmart drop huge deals on Apple AirPods and Samsung Galaxy Buds
They also remain ridiculously easy to operate and set up for iOS devices, although the lack of waterproofing or workout features is baffling considering the price point you can take the Galaxy Buds to the gym, and they cost less.
The latest AirPods rock the same golf-tee shape of their predecessors. A lot of people seem to like this design considering how immensely popular they arealthough if you ask us they look like the old EarPods with the wires cut off. Compared to its wired counterpart, the wireless charging case now has its LED lights on the front, which allows you to see charging status when the case is placed atop a Qi charging pad.
Apple claims that the case can carry the same amount of reserve charging it did three years ago, offering up to 24 hours, which still beats most competitors. The onboard controls are the same as before — for better or worse.
They auto-pause audio immediately when you take one out — but only with Apple devices.
